This evening after all my lessons, i went to played a basketball competition organised by School of EEE. Players involved were Kian boon, Keyou, Chin seng, Azhar, Francis, Shang Fu, Thomas and me. Prior to this match, we played a few games under the blazing sun at Woodland to prepare ourselves for today's game...So after lessons, we sit for a while at FC3 before going on to get changed. During changing, I was afriad of seeing those professional basketball players...my mindset when i see them was, " lose liao lah." Anyway we still proceed to the basketball court to play.
When we reached the basketball court, we have to wait for a long time before we were called to the reception table to register ourselves.So during our waiting time, we watched a few matches. I was a bit relieved when i see the standard of the players...Not so pro until can trash our team...As we watch, we give some comments on the referre and the players...Can't forget a guy who look like Yao Ming in NBA....haha...After long waiting, we were called to the reception table...Surprisingly, we won the first game without playing. Meaning we walked over...haha...So i thought luck will still be with us...However, we realised that our next opponent was Kian Boon's friend team, which almost got into a fight during their first game..haha...so worried in the beginning...Then suddenly we talked a bit and had a bit of laughter when the referre was briefing us...so the tension eventually goes off and played the game as if they were our friends....The most funniest thing in this game was opponent team was immediately given a team foul after they failed to put the ball into the basket...reason is because they say "CB"...lol!!!
The game played on for 10 mins thereafter till half time...Then i substitute with Chin Seng to play 2nd half...Btw i was on bench during first half...haha...Fortunately, i manage to help my team to score 2 points but after that i did not make much contribution as i was tired out...Ran up and down with full speed too much...So in the end we still lose...Although my team lost the game, i dun feel sad or anything cos firstly my team mostly do not play basketball and we join it for fun. Another reason i feel that is becos my team lack of communications and teamwork which opponent team has...so they deserve to win...Sad thing to say this is the first and last competition i can take part with my present classmates...
