just realise that i have not update my blog for a long long time..maybe some things to share during the period i did not blog...last week was basically SP Open House cum Spinnovex...Open house i guess needless to say u all should know what is it right?? Spinnovex is basically is another event held on open to show case some of the good final year projects to the public and industry...fortunately, my final year project group was involve in it...btw...whole of last week got no lesson at all...can say shiok but also can say is our disadvantage cos lecturers will chiong for the rest of the weeks before exam...
For monday and tuesday, basically i did not do anything...maybe just go to school and prepare the things to show case on spinnovex which is from 19th - 21st Jan...wednesday was an interview with the industrial panel...what we did was to decorate our booth and wait from related industry ppl to come and see our project...at the same time, give grading...the industry ppl for my group was a guy from ST Aerospace and a professor from NTU...so my group mates explain to them the objective of the project and how it is done...
thursday was the first day of open house and spinnovex..so a opening ceremoney was held in the morning...unfortunately, the booth have to be take care of...so thomas and i stayed back to look after our booth..at the same time talk to ppl in other project groups...can't forget the project beside my booth...basically their project is a camera position under a ramp..so when a car drive over, condition underneath the car can be observed...the wonderful thing was, they actually use a real merz car to demostrate it..haha...everyone who walk past will sure look at that car..keke....in front of my booth is another interesting project...it is a remote controlled car controlled through computer...what the user have to do it just draw out the route and the car will just follow the path...quite an interesting project too actually...
after the opening ceremoney, we will expecting a lot of ppl to come see our project...but we were wrong...the whole day was a torture..no ppl come, we cannot go anywhere or do anything except sitting at our booth and stare in the air...hai~..end up either we give stupid comments on ppl who walked past us or talking nonsense....so the next day, we decided to have shift work...so actually i was schedule in the afternoon shift...at least on friday, i feel better...not as bore and time passby quite quickly...
on sat, which is the last day, everyone has to turn up on the same time again becos we have individual interview with lecturers...after the interview, i went to look after the booth until 12+ and went off to cdac headquarter to attend a volunteery work briefing with kwang yong...surprisingly, we also saw xiao ping...after that briefing, i took bus to rush back to SP again to attend the closing ceremoney...during the ceremoney, "Outstanding Display of Project" was given out...my group was luckily enough to get a bronze award for it...as for the merz car group, they got gold..rather surprising...haha...after it, went home immediately to play dota with francis, shang fu, thomas, azhar and a few more person...
